Stillwater Christian School opened its doors on August 28, 1980 with an enrollment of 57 students in kindergarten through sixth grades. The first classes in 1980 were held in the Evergreen Christian & Missionary Alliance church gymnasium building where eight teachers shared the task of beginning what would become one of the largest Christian schools in the state. As growth continued, students were split between three locations. Kindergarten through fourth grade were in the Demarsville school, grades five and six at Central Bible Church and seventh through twelfth at the original Evergreen site. God blessed the vision of the school’s founders and SCS was offering a full high school program by the 1986-1987 school year and saw its first three seniors graduate in 1987. |
