Assumption High School is a Catholic high school located in Davenport, Iowa. Assumption High School opened it's doors on September 10, 1958 as a Catholic co-institutional facility, as a result of the merger of St. Ambrose Academy for boys and Immaculate Conception Academy for girls. At an initial cost of $2.4 million, Assumption High School would have never been possible without the support of Bishop Ralph Hayes and the 12 parishes within Scott County in 1958: Holy Family, Our Lady of Lourdes, Sacred Heart, St. Alphonsus, St. Ann, St. Anthony, St. Henry, St. James, St. Joseph, St. Mary, St. Paul the Apostle, and St. Peter. Assumption became co-educational in 1969.
From the beginning, Assumption’s Catholic identity has given it a special spirit. Each day begins with prayer, with the knowledge that all is done for the “Glory of God.” AHS has been faithful to this vision that makes it unique in the community.

Application for Admission: Complete the Assumption High School Application for Admission online at apply.assumptionhigh.org. Applications for the upcoming school year can be submitted online beginning February 1st.

Application Fee: Pay the $50 Application Fee (discounted fee through February 15th). Online applications submitted after February 15th are certainly welcome with the standard fee of $75. The fee can be paid online, mailed to: Assumption High School, ATTN: Admissions, 1020 W. Central Park Ave., Davenport, IA 52804, OR dropped off at the AHS front office.  A student’s application cannot be processed until the application fee is received.

Course Selection: Upon receipt of a student’s completed application and application fee, an email will be sent to the parent(s)/legal guardian(s) containing JMC login credentials and information on how to select freshmen courses online. Please view the enclosed Course Selection materials for more details.  Course selections received by March 15th will qualify for guaranteed preferred course scheduling.  For any questions regarding course information or class schedules, please contact AHS Student Services at (563)326-5313 ext. 237.

Health Forms: Freshmen will be required to submit the following health forms at Registration in August:
◾Certificate of Dental Screening
◾Heads Up Concussion Form (only required if participating in athletics)
◾Athletic Physical Form (only required if participating in athletics)

The Admissions Department will be in ongoing contact with registered students about a few events throughout the spring/summer: 8th Grade Dance, Fresh Start Picnic, 9-12th Grade School Registration, and Freshmen Orientation.

Assumption High School works with placement agencies approved by the Diocese of Davenport. International students interested in attending Assumption High School should contact the Admissions Office at (563)326-5313 ext. 230 to meet with the Director of Admissions. 

International students will be required to:
◾Complete the Assumption online Application for Admission.
◾Provide a copy of the Agency Application Materials (inclusive of ELTiS score and transcripts).
◾Pay a $150 non-refundable Application Fee.
◾Conduct an interview via Skype or QQ with members of AHS Administration to ensure student’s English proficiency is acceptable.

Any student that is accepted into Assumption High School will be provided an official Acceptance Letter. The student is then required to proceed with completing the Diocese of Davenport’s Application Requirements.

Annual tuition for international students must be paid in full prior to attendance.
