Excel Christian Academy

Excel Christian academy is one of the fastest growing private schools in North Georgia. ECA is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the largest and most accepted accrediting agency in the United States. In 1993, Excel began as a K-6th grade school with only 61 students. Proudly, ECA recognized its first senior graduating class in the year 2000, and the current enrollment has grown to approximately 250 students. Controlled growth and a commitment to academic excellence allowed the addition of one grade level per year, making the school complete.

Excel is a community school that is a ministry of the Church at Liberty Square. We are very appreciative of the prayerful and financial support provided by the church. Students and staff represent a variety of church affiliations (over 50 different churches are represented in ECA).

The school’s spiritual purpose is to encourage a deep relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and not to promote any particular denomination. We believe that every child is a unique creation of God and spiritual opportunities are provided throughout the school program. Morning devotions, Bible classes, and weekly chapel services are an integral part of the child’s learning experience.

Cartersville is located 42 miles north of Atlanta on the I-75 growth corridor, near beautiful lake Allatoona. With a population of 14,000, it is the largest city in Bartow county, which has a population of about 70,000. Cartersville is a very progressive city, with rural surroundings, and the site of many major industries.

Following documents are needed before an admission decision will be made:
•Official copy of TOEFL or SLEP scores
•Immunization records, translated to English
•Copy of Passport
•Results from any standardized test taken in the past 4 years
•Transcript or most recent report card if entering the 9th grade. These must be translated to English along with the credits that were issued for each individual course. Those students who have attended U.S. schools must provide full transcripts from those schools.
•Reference forms from a math teacher, English teacher, and counselor
•International Student Financial Assurance Statement
•$350 Application fee
