Arroyo Pacific Academy is an independent, private, coeducational, comprehensive, college preparatory, four-year secondary school. The school was founded and incorporated in 1998. The high school code number for SAT/ACT is 050-144.
The Accrediting Commission for Schools of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) has recognized Arroyo Pacific Academy as Fully Accredited. The school maintains a traditional 2 semester calendar as well as a varied Summer School Program. There are 5 daily class periods including a Study Hall of 1 hour each. The length of each term is 8 weeks and there are 4 terms in an academic year.
There are 21 teachers and 5 staff members who serve 160 students. The President is Philip Clarke, the Principal is Joseph Blackman, the Vice Principal is Leticia Tufenkdjian, the Vice President and the Dean of Studies is Robert S. Walley who also serves as the SEVIS Principal Designated School Official

 

CURRICULUM
The school follows the guidelines of the California State Frameworks and the Content Standards adopted by the California State Board of Education aligned with our Expected Schoolwide Learning Results. The school is committed to providing a comprehensive academic program with many courses offered on multiple levels which include Advanced Placement, College Prep and the General High School curriculum.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT PROGRAM
The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program (AP) enables students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school. The school offers: AP United States History, AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, AP United States Government and Politics, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP Biology, AP Environmental Science, AP Physics: B, AP Chinese Language and Culture, and AP Psychology.
ASSISTED LEARNING PROGRAM
The program is designed to assist and respond to the needs of students who learn differently with documented learning disabilities and courses may be designated with (AL) on a transcript.
SERVICE LEARNING PROGRAM
Arroyo Pacific Academy requires that students participate in at least two service learning projects per school year.
