ABOUT NDA

A dedicated, caring faculty of 47 teachers educate  730-750 students at Notre Dame Academy.  The average years of experience among the faculty is 15 years.  Students from a variety of religious affiliations attend Notre Dame. Among the students is an impressive list of 25-30 international students each year.  Approximately 10% of the student body comes from Hispanic, African-American, Asian and Native American families.  The goal is to increase the diversity of the student body to 15%.

Students at Notre Dame Academy engage in a variety of school and community service opportunities.  Students log 19,000-20,000 hours of service, including those  served on the annual NDA Service Day. On average, 98% of NDA students take the ACT college entrance exam and they score significantly higher than the national and state averages. Over 95% of each senior class successfully graduates with an equal number of graduates continuing their education at colleges and universities all across the country.

The faith formation of students at Notre Dame Academy is central to its purpose and mission.  All students take Theology classes while they are enrolled at Notre Dame.  A  full program of Campus Ministry opportunities engage students to grow spiritually within an ecumenical environment.  Mass is celebrated daily at 7:30 a.m. and Eucharistic  Adoration is made available to parents, staff and students on Monday mornings.  Student retreats are also coordinated through the Campus Ministry Office.  Service trips to Chicago and Mississippi are open to juniors and seniors each year.  All-school Masses are held each month.  Daily prayer is lead by students.

A Notre Dame Academy education embraces an over 100-year Catholic tradition of excellent learning within a caring, faith-filled community.  Notre Dame is where All are welcome!
